Paul Harris and The Cleverlys
If you love southern twisted comedy with a splash of alpaca, then you are a Cleverhead! Paul Harris’sconcert can best be described as “blue collar comedy meets grass roots music”. His stand up brings you his abnormal, Arkansas flavored take on life that is rib-cracking funny, while the music his band delivers is dead-on genius. His band, Steve Bush, Matt Skates, andCole Lee, is each is a confirmed professional in their own right, and together they produce a set that transcends genre.
Raised in the backwoods of Arkansas, Harris dishes out his hugely popular take on all things “down-home”. Having opened for comedian Jeff Foxworthy and the most awarded group in Country Music’s history, ALABAMA, Paul is clearly a master of his craft and a 20 year veteran of the comedy scene. He was also recently tapped as the new promotional face of Bad Boy Mowers and was featured in their recent Super Bowl commercial.
But it doesn’t stop there. The second half take a sharp turn with the introduction of “new” musicians. Enter The Cleverly Trio; four members of the 'family band' that's best described by Harris himself as 'bluegrass meets 'The Office.'' The band consists of Vernon Dean 'V.D.' Cleverly, Ricky Lloyd Cleverly, Monk Cleverly, and band leader Digger Cleverly, guitarist, lead singer and proud father of Digger Jr. and Digger Jr. Jr.
The Cleverlys, Harris’ bluegrass band, quickly gained a large following with their cover of the Black Eyed Peas tune “I Gotta Feeling,” which has been viewed on YouTube more than 2 million times. They also perform classic hits from artists such as the Zombies, Flo Rida, Fergie, AC/DC, and Beyonce.
The group fulfilled a lifetime dream when they performed on the famous Grand Ole Opry stage in 2011, and on the coveted LP Field (Country Music's biggest stage) in Nashville TN to close out the 2010 CMA fest, for which they received a standing ovation.
